Hello, I am Maggie, the owner and operator of Roots & Wings. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Victoria in 2004 and graduated with my Early Childhood Education certificate from Northern Lights College in June 2006 followed up with my Infant Toddler citation in June 2008.

I opened Roots & Wings Early Learning Centre in September 2006. I moved to our current location in July 2008 and expanded from a Multi-Age licence to a double licence Multi-Age & Infant Toddler facility.

Our amazing educators are:

Nadine Hamoline

Nadine joined Roots & Wings at it's start up at our new location in September 2008. Nadine is an Early Childhood Educator. She is currently completing her Infant Toddler training. She is first aid certified, has a successful criminal record check, and a licence to practice as an ECE.

Jen Fougere - Jen is on maternity leave until January 2014

Jen has been with Roots & Wings since March 2012. She has completed her ECE, Infant Toddler, and Special Needs training. Jen is first aidcertified, has a successful criminal record check. She also has a current valud licence to practice as an Infant Toddler Educator.

Ayla August

Ayla joined Roots & Wings September 2010. Ayla is an Early Childhood Education Assistant with a current valid licence to practice. Ayla is continuing to complete courses to become an Early Childhood Educator. She is first aid and food safe certified, and has a successful criminal record check.

Carina Rempel

Carina joined Roots & Wings September 2011. Carina is an Early Childhood Educator and has a current valud licence to practice. She is pursuing her Infant Toddler certification. She is first aid and foodsafe certified, and has a successful criminal record check.

Emily Fox

Emily joined Roots & Wings in January 2013. Emily currently holds a licence to practice as an Early Childhood Educator Assistant. Emily is first aid certified and has a successful criminal record check.

Charlene Brager

Charlene joined Roots & Wings in January 2013 and will be covering a maternity position until the end of the June 2013. Charlene has a current licence to practice as an Early Childhood Educator. She is also first aid certified and has a successful criminal record check.
